Loot Drops

When Equipment is dropped from an enemy Mob, or “rolled”, it acquires its Traits, Modifiers, and other information. This page is intended to outline how this works and will focus on Legendary rarity and up, since these are the main items used by Players.

Major Traits

All Equipment items, not including Artifacts and Companions, will roll with a Major Trait. This is the main way that you will gain Major Traits. ( Other ways include leveling up and from Paragon Runestones. )

Legendary and Set Equipment will roll a Major Trait in a range between 12 and 25, multiplied by the items level. This means a level 10 item will roll a Major Trait between 120 and 250.

An item is considered “Pristine” if it rolls in the top 10% of its possible range. This means that items with 237 or higher Major Trait will be Pristine. *NOTE: Pristine is currently not working correctly and is considering 1 to 250 as the range. This means that items at 225 or higher are currently receiving the Pristine label.

Information on Godly and Champion Equipment rolls will be updated as soon as possible. I need to verify exactly how they are rolled.

Modifiers

Modifier slots are always represented as a percentage. They can be one of three type; Major, Minor, or Non-Combat.

Legendary, Set, Godly, and Champion Equipment all roll a certain number of Modifier Slots, depending on the type of Item. This means that all items of the same type will always have the same available Modifier slots.

  • Head
    • 1 Minor
    • 1 Non-Combat (Can’t be Movement Speed)
  • Body
    • 1 Major
    • 4 Minor
  • Mainhand
    • 1 Major
    • 2 Minor
  • Offhand
    • Focus
      • Always Focus Damage
    • Mojo
      • 2 Major
      • 2 Minor
      • 1 Non-Combat (Can’t be Movement Speed)
    • Shield
      • Always Shield Reduction
    • Weapon
      • None
  • Legs
    • 1 Major
    • 1 Minor
    • 1 Non-Combat (Always Movement Speed)
  • Feet
    • 1 Minor
    • 1 Non-Combat (Always Movement Speed)

The total available slots when using an Offhand Mojo are as follows:

  • 5x Major
  • 11x Minor
  • 4x Non-Combat
    • 2x Not Movement Speed
    • 2x Movement Speed

Legendary Curios

Artifacts and Companions, referred to in the shop as “Curios,” roll stats differently than other Equipment.

Legendary Curios do NOT have a “Level” that corresponds with the Character’s Level. They instead roll with a “Power Level” between 1 and 30. The chance is weighted, meaning that higher Power Levels are harder to roll.

A Character of any level can equip a Legendary Curio of any Power Level.

Each Artifact and Companion has different abilities and it’s numbers roll differently. All Curios upgrade in the same way, by being Imbued at the Blacksmith.

When a Curio is Imbued by the Blacksmith, it gains a Power Level, which increases one of its abilities by one stage. For example, a Mask of Taku-Ra has three abilities; Critical Chance, Critical Damage, and Strength per Player Level. The lowest Power Level that this Artifact can have is 3, with one rank in each ability. Each ability has a max of 10, making a total potential Power Level of 30.

Another example is the Artifact, Yule Goat. Yule Goat only has 2 abilities, Critical Damage and Dexterity per Player Level. In this example, Critical Damage has 20 ranks and Dexterity per Player level has 10 ranks, still making a total potential Power Level of 30.

Because of this, two of the same Curio at the same Power Level can have different ranks in each ability, depending on their roll and how the Player chooses to Imbue them.
